BREAKING NEWS: Supreme Court Dismisses PDP’s Suit Against Shettima’s Double Nomination.

Supreme Court of Nigeria has ruled to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against Kashim Shettima, the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), regarding his alleged double nomination.

A five-member panel of the apex court carefully considered the case and concluded that the PDP did not have the legal standing (locus standi) to bring forward this suit.

The court emphasized that the PDP is not a member of the APC, and therefore lacked the necessary authority to challenge Shettima’s nomination.

This decision upholds the legitimacy of Kashim Shettima as the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, marking a significant legal victory for him and the party.
